What are you up to this weekend? Tonight, all of my siblings and respective others are going to see this movie. Then we’re off to Napa for a fun filled weekend of wine tastings and good food. I’m so excited! Have a safe and relaxing long weekend.

  • Silence
  • I love flying because the downtime gives me downtime to stop and think
  • My mind wanders through my worries to things that make me happy
  • People I need to get back in contact with, letters I need to write
  • I feel lost in my thoughts until something snaps me back to reality
  • Like when the passenger sitting next to you smells like McDonalds
  • And she coughs in such a way you really have to squirm and cower away from her germs
  • Then you start to imagine odors wafting toward you
  • I don’t think there’s enough air circulating in my personal space
  • It’s starting to make me feel clausterphobic and faint
  • It’s all in your head, Jenny!
  • Imagine Dragons
  • Which reminds me, how’s Game of Thrones these days?
  • I still can’t get myself to get through book two
  • I don’t want to watch season two until I do
  • What’s a girl to do?
  • My neighbor has now let out a big sigh
  • I’m slightly perturbed
  • I can’t wait to come home and get Columbus
  • Happy again

This month has been a whirlwind – so many things going on in so many different facets of life. As I was looking out the window of my flight back from New York City, I really had to count my blessings.

I know there’s been a big disconnect between me and the blogworld, but very slowly there are going to be some big changes in the road ahead. I’m so happy about what’s in store for me and my sister and can’t wait for what’s to come. I’ll be back tomorrow with musings from my plane ride. XO

summer

Over the weekend, I spotted so many beautiful maxi dresses at a friend’s pool party. They were fun and flirty and now I can’t stop thinking about them! I love how you can dress them up or down. The fabric is light enough to withstand the summer heat, but the length is perfect to pair with a jacket if you need to combat the breeze. I was super lucky to sport my new maxi dress at the party – compliments to my ever stylish seester, Janet. She’s pretty awesome.

I can’t wait for summer to come round! Here are my four fave maxi from Shopbop. Which do you like best?

I can’t believe a week has already flown by! The days just whizz by so quickly. What are you up to this weekend? I’m meeting this pretty face for drinks + dinner tonight and I’m so excited. Tomorrow, I’m hoping to have Mr. Officer try out the amazing Eggs Benedict at Sycamore Kitchen and then when I have some time to myself in the afternoon, finally check out Poketo in Downtown. I also really need to hunker down and get all caught up on Project Life.

A few weeks ago in pole, I learned this trick I thought was pretty neat. It’s called a flare. I wish you could really see the happiness plastered on my face when I was finished. It’s such a good feeling to know when your hard work is slowly paying off. There are more photos on my Instagram, if you’d like to see.

Have a good one! XO

What are you up to this weekend? After this whirlwind of a day, I’m meeting up with a girlfriend for some pizza at 800 Degrees. On Saturday, Janet and I are going to the Zooey Magazine party at Seychelles HQ to meet a dear friend. It’s going to be a very jammed packed weekend! Have a good one :)

Still on this Downton Abbey high, one of the main aspects I’m so drawn to are their costumes – particularly the nightgowns that Mary wears. They’re gorgeous! While nightgowns aren’t really my steez, I love sleeping in coordinated, comfy jammies. After watching the finale of Season 2, I went to Shopbop and curated what I would love to have in my dresser.

Which do you like best? XO

  • When The Lights Go Out
  • I am so sore. Sore hands, sore gums, sore muscles
  • My biceps are so tight, they feel so ripped
  • I don’t know how I feel about that
  • At a stop light on Sunset and Van Ness, I spot an older gentleman walking his dog. They’re waiting on the same stop light. The dog is looking up at his owner with big, sincere eyes. The owner looks back at his companion with such a genuine smile, my heart melts and I have to look away
  • It’s a private moment between a family and I’m intruding
  • Pets, man, I tell ya
  • I can’t help but laugh to myself like an idiot alone in the car when I think about Columbus this morning
  • With my sleepy eyes peeping across the room, watching him prowl his way to the bed
  • Ever so light as a feather, graceful on his toes
  • He stops in front and stares at me with those big, curious eyes
  • Eeps! He’s on me!
  • Purring and kneading, turning around and sticking his butt in my face as he tries to get comfortable
  • This guy
  • What would my life be like if I didn’t go through the art department that day?
  • Would I be the same person?
  • My allergies wouldn’t be all crazy, I’ll tell you that
  • My Angel Rocks Back and Forth

We are here.

I am so late on this Downton Abbey train, but my oh my am I obsessed! I love everything about this show – the writing is spectacular and more so, the cast is spot on. Every character is exactly who I would envision them to be in real life. (Carson has my heart!)

I never thought I would get so engrossed with the lives of the servants, rooting for Anna and wishing Daisy grew a pair. Who’s watching it? Who do you love?

What are you up to this weekend? I’m meeting my favorite Texan for dinner tonight at this yummy restaurant and then checking out this Instagram Jam Exhibition. I can’t wait to stay in, hang out with Columbus, and get some scrabpbooking on. Have a good one. XO
